Faced with two options, how do you make a decision? If you’re a stickler for correct punctuation, but you don’t know how to use an apostrophe, what do you do? Do you include one, even though it might be wrong? Or do you omit one, even though that might be wrong? I think the writer for the Yahoo! front page took the safer, but incorrect, route and omitted the apostrophe:
One of the nation’s biggest punctuation problems involves the use of the apostrophe. Do you need more proof? If so, Yahoo!’s staffers offer ample evidence every day.
