It’s no secret that the writers and editors who work on the Yahoo! front page follow Terribly Write, and when an error on yahoo.com is noted here, they correct it. Usually. And I think that some of the staffers actually learn something about writing in the process, because some errors appear less often than they did about a year or so ago.
But that’s not true with all blunders made on yahoo.com.
The last time I saw Carly Rae Jepsen’s name misspelled on the Yahoo! front page, I suggested that the writer learn how to copy text (like, oh, say, the name Jepsen) and paste where it should go. But noooo. The writer or writers are still trying to rely on their memory to spell her name:
