Chloe Grace Moretz: What did you think her name was?

Her first name is Chloe. Her middle name is Grace. Her last name is Moretz. So where did the writer for Yahoo! Movies get the goofy idea her last name was Grace-Moretz?

I think that’s even worse than calling the actress Chloe Mortez.

    Hyphenated names are really “in” these days. Not to be overly pedantic (but I hardly ever get the chance), her name is spelled with an umlaut-E: Chloë Grace Moretz.

    On the other hand, since the name comes from Greek, perhaps “umlaut” isn’t the best descriptor.

    Continuing to meander: I remembered an old song: Chloe (on YouTube).

    I probably first heard Spike Jones’ version:

    You must have missed Chloe Grace’s wedding to Stanley Moretz 5 years ago. She was 10 at the time, which makes the whole thing kinda weird in my book.

      Ha! Sounds like a true Hollywood romance! I’m afraid I am tragically unhip and had no idea who Chloe was. I just suspected her last name wasn’t Grace-Moretz.
