We all know that cooks need a good knives. But, the Yahoo! front page guys have some advice: They recommend knives that you should try to own, but you don’t really have to own. Trying is good enough:

Don’t you know the joy is in the journey, not in reaching one’s destination? Once they own all five knives, there’s no reason to keep on living.
Unless, of course, they like to cook. Then they can use the knives to prepare food. I guess.

I have been trying to figure out why the writer felt the need to include “try to” in that headline. Alas, I have failed. But I will consider the knives’ potential for seppuku, should the cook fail to acquire the full complement of tools.
