How did I miss that news? According to yahoo.com, actress and tree-hugger Daryl Hannah is the head of the Sierra Club!
If you harbor any doubts that punctuation can change the meaning of a sentence, let me assure you that it can. Just add a comma where it doesn’t belong and an actress can take over one of the most powerful environmentalist groups in the world.

That’s a trick sentence. Without the comma, she’s identified as Chief. With the comma, it’s a comma-separated list. The writer should have used “and”.
PS: Will the arrest be conducted on top of a pipeline?
PPS: Sometimes your graphics come through as stretched out with vertical stripes. If I open the link, it’s OK.

Thanks for the info about the graphics. I’ve seen that problem occasionally and randomly. I’m still trying to resolve it.
As for the headline, it’s quite common for headline writers to use a comma instead of the word “and” to save space. I’ll be waiting to see if the arrest is on or over a pipeline.
