    They are both quite bad but I find the second error often leads to more hilarious mistakes. Sadly, both could be easily corrected by the simple proofreading act of reading the sentences out loud.

      Absolutely. Even reading the sentences would help — but Yahoo! writers and editors don’t take the time to proofread — or if they do, they are pretty lousy at it.
