Do you know how you look to your readers when you can’t make an editorial decision? You look careless, indecisive, illiterate, and maybe even a little dim. And if you work on the Yahoo! front page, the results of your indecision can be viewed by literally millions of people:

Most legitimate news sites long ago made a decision about forming the possessive of a name ending in S. If they follow the Associated Press style, they form the plural by adding just an apostrophe; other styles require an apostrophe and an S. Either is acceptable, but both? Not so much.
