I before E except after C

Remember this mnemonic? I before E except C, or when sounded like A as in neighbor and weigh. It’s a pretty good way to remember how to spell some words, but it’s not perfect. There are exceptions like their, heir, and weird. But retrieve is not an exception, except on the home page of Yahoo! Movies:
