Was the writer distracted when writing this for yahoo.com?

I can’t figure out what the writer meant. Is a word missing? Like, maybe “Eagles of Death Metal watch on TV“? Or did the writer mean “look on”? Or merely “watch”? Or, did the writer and editor really think that “watch on” is an acceptable expression. Yeah, that’s probably the case.
