What’s the excuse for this?

Somewhere in the deep recesses of the mind of a Yahoo! Answers writer, this makes sense:

To the rest of us, it’s just one non sequitur after another.

    Perhaps the excuse is for the inept or non-existing editing process at Yahoo!? Just a thought.

      I think in this case, there’s no editor. It also appears that the writer isn’t a native English speaker, which might account for the awkwardness of the sentence, but not for the non sequiturs.
