Has Rosie O’Donnell called off her engagement to fiancée Michelle Rounds in favor of marrying a man? The startling revelation comes direct from the Yahoo! front page, so you know there’s something going on:
OK, what’s really going on is this: The writer doesn’t know that a fiancé is a male; a fiancée is a female. And Rosie is engaged to the ladder latter.

OMG! I can’t believe I wrote that! That was worthy of any Yahoo writer. I’ve corrected it and left the original word in so that everyone reading this from now until the end of time can see that everyone needs a proofreader and/or editor — even snarky bloggers who point out the errors in other people’s writing. Thanks for pointing this out. It makes me sadder, not madder, when I err.

Yeah, that’s what I should have said: I was being facetious! It’s humor! Next time I make a mistake and a reader calls me on it, I’ll just claim that I meant it. Thanks for the tip 🙂
