I had a garage sale that made more than that!

Heck, my last garage sale (when I sold my lava lamp and Big Wheels trike) made more than “The Dark Knight” grossed during its opening weekend.

I wonder why the folks at Yahoo! Movies think it was such a success.

Why do you compare that to Katy Perry?

Why would anyone compare one person’s style to a singer? Wouldn’t it make more sense to compare one person’s style to Katy Perry’s style? And then maybe you could see a different style from Katy Perry’s. Oh, well. That would be logical and logic is not in style on the Yahoo! front page:

One charged in missing mark

At least one person at Yahoo! News doesn’t understand that numbers consisting of two words (like forty-eight), require a hyphen

Gwyneth Paltow? Oh, no

This isn’t Gwyneth on Yahoo! Shine, but it should be:

It’s a wonder

The number of mistakes that can be crammed into a single paragraph Yahoo! Shine is a wonder to behold:

What’s so wrong? How about

  • star’s should be stars’ since it refers to more than one person
  • camera ready needs a hyphen
  • $500 dollar doesn’t need dollar since it includes a dollar sign
  • five hour also needs a hyphen
  • work outs is a misspelling of workouts
  • to few should be to a few
  • Danny Evan is not the man’s name; he’s Danny Evans
  • apostrophes are no substitute for quotation marks

The real wonder is the fact that this was written by a professional.
