A wayward hyphen tells a tale of ignorance and arrogance:

The writer for the Yahoo! front page must have been so confident of their ability to spell that they didn’t bother to check to see if telltale includes a hyphen. It doesn’t. If you think a word needs a hyphen, check with a dictionary before you publish your pearls and before a blogger does your job for you.
