Careless impressions

I wasn’t too sure that the writer of this blog from Yahoo! Shine was at all concerned about the impression that grammatical and spelling errors make:

Take a look at this this repetition—an error that’s easy to spot for writers who re-read what they’ve written:

If you can spell peek correctly once, don’t ya think you could spell it correctly again? Maybe not:

And it’s pure carelessness to overlook a missing space here:

There’s no reason to capitalize spring (seasons aren’t proper nouns) and every reason to chuckle over the word right. It’s wrong. The photo in question is actually on the left.

Time to mince words

The Yahoo! front page once again has a lesson for anyone writing for small spaces: Sometimes you just have to use shorter or fewer words:
