Is Michelle Obama the first lady? or the First Lady? The editors for the Yahoo! front page seem to be unable to make a decision:
According to the Associated Press, first lady is always lowercase, even if it precedes the name of the wife of a head of state.
Readers expressing surprise that the Yahoo! front page actually contains an error flabbergast me. Don’t they know that the editors for yahoo.com can’t recognize a mismatched subject and verb?
They may be grammatically challenged, but they make up for it with creativity. Like that neologism, Titantic — it’s a cross between Titanic and gigantic.
